About the Role

Magna New Mobility is a pioneering initiative within Magna International, focused on developing innovative solutions for complex mobility challenges. Our team is dedicated to creating a suite of new products and services that will revolutionize the way people and goods move at scale.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee our autonomous vehicle delivery service in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering, along with significant experience in operations, maintenance, and logistics within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the autonomous vehicle depot, ensuring optimal efficiency in vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and routing.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of technicians and support staff, providing training and guidance to maintain high standards of performance and safety.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle performance, delivery timelines, and overall depot operations, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Integration and Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of depot operations with broader service objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to autonomous vehicle operations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in operations, maintenance, or logistics within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Skills: Experience in maintenance and operational management, particularly in environments involving e-bikes or similar technologies. Demonstrated ability to manage and track project progress against established timelines and milestones.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
