Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Mary Brown Chicken and taters. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Food Requisition and Inventory

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Culinary Operations

Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, and ensure that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner.

Food Safety and Quality

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.

Team Leadership

Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Requirements
  • Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.

Work Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Hours

This is a permanent position, with a typical workweek of 32-40 hours.
