About the Position

The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse is seeking a highly skilled Research and Policy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research program, you will conduct research and provide policy analysis to inform our priorities and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and provide policy analysis to inform our priorities and initiatives
  • Represent CCSA on various expert committees and working groups
  • Develop and implement knowledge mobilization plans on assigned projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the strategic development of CCSA's research program in the domain of criminal justice and public safety
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD in the health sciences, social sciences, neuroscience, population health or epidemiology
  • Three to five years of experience conducting research in a related field
  • Familiarity with partner engagement, consultation and related data collection through a variety of mechanisms
Assets
  • Experience in preparing successful grant proposals and reviewing grant proposals
  • Experience working in or with governmental, non-governmental or international organizations
  • Bilingual in English and French
