Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Team Member to join our team at Yakitori Marketing Corp., a leading Japanese Charcoal Grill Diner in Toronto. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our establishments.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role in our front-of-house and kitchen teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, including employee scheduling, inventory management, interviewing and selecting staff, training new employees, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, including employee scheduling and inventory management.
  • Interview and select front-end and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Train new employees, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by coaching staff on proper service techniques, resolving customer complaints, and creating a positive dining experience.
  • Respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally, reporting to the General Manager when necessary.
  • Analyze staff performance, provide feedback to improve the customer's experience, and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Supervise and support restaurant staff, providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, creating a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
  • Complete daily reports at the end of each shift and carry out daily operations in the absence of the General Manager.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years or more of supervisory experience at a full-service restaurant.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English is required.
Salary and Benefits
