We are seeking a skilled Materials Technician Specialist to join our team at Voisey's Bay, Labrador.

Job DescriptionThe Materials Technician Specialist will conduct laboratory and field testing on aggregate, soils, concrete, and grout, as well as compaction and site conditions monitoring. This role executes field testing activities, works within a small crew to ensure quality control/quality assurance, collects, prepares, and reviews field notes, and presents data to clients or supervisors.
The successful candidate will attend client meetings (safety, quality, and contractual), manage daily work schedules, address issues from field activities, and perform equipment calibrations/certifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of related materials testing experience
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in concrete testing, nuclear densometer use, aggregate sampling, and laboratory test procedures
- Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, technical competence, and attention to detail
- Ability to work various shifts, remote sites for extended periods, and valid driver's license

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
