Material Technician

GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario, seeking a motivated and skilled Material Technician to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a candidate with experience in general construction activities, materials testing, and inspection. The ideal candidate will have a college-level diploma and civil construction experience, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt
- Perform field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt
- Other duties as required
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs routinely
- Strong multi-tasking, organization, and planning skills
