Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Smitty's Restaurant.
Job Description- Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services to support the operations of Smitty's Restaurant.
- Determine requirements of the establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased.
- Negotiate offers from suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and terms.
- Consult with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings and improve quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
- Hire, train and supervise staff as needed to support procurement activities.
- Review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions.
- Award contracts to appropriate parties and establish delivery schedules.
- Monitor progress of delivery schedules and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
- Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
- Provide customer service to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field such as business administration or supply chain management.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Computer and technology knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and SAP software.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CompensationThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
