Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Smitty's Restaurant.

Job Description
  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services to support the operations of Smitty's Restaurant.
  • Determine requirements of the establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased.
Responsibilities
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Consult with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings and improve quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
  • Hire, train and supervise staff as needed to support procurement activities.
  • Review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions.
  • Award contracts to appropriate parties and establish delivery schedules.
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
  • Provide customer service to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field such as business administration or supply chain management.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and SAP software.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
