About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Procurement Specialist to join our team at Trapper Trading Post.

The ideal candidate will have experience in arranging products according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to outlets.

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires efficient interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Management: Arrange products according to planograms to ensure optimal display and sales.
  • Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demands and prevent overstocking or understocking.
  • Distribution Management: Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets to ensure timely delivery and minimize losses.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • At least 1 month but less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • A team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn.
