About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance policies, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible coverage and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance policies, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible coverage and service.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners and external brokers to identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth.
  • Analyze financial statements and client loss history to make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales plans and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimal business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant insurance or underwriting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of property/casualty insurance products and the regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
