About the Role

The DDRC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Client Services Coordinator to join our CHOICES Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Communication: Provide leadership and coaching to families, clients, and internal staff on a daily or as-needed basis, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Resource and Information Provision: Act as a resource for relevant policies, procedures, legislation, service protocols, and ethical codes and guidelines, providing accurate and timely information to support clients' needs.
  • Communication and Liaison: Ensure honest, open, and accurate communication at all times, promoting transparent leadership and keeping team members informed of relevant information.
  • Client Support and Advocacy: Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating a professional attitude with all stakeholders, and assist clients in advocating for themselves when necessary.
  • Client Referral and Support: Ensure complete tracking and implementation of the client referral process, making effective recommendations on client support and services offered by the DDRC.
  • Client Assessments and Recommendations: Provide recommendations on client assessments and refer clients for specialized assessments or external resources as appropriate.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate clients' hours, schedules, and employee vacation time, leaves of absence, and bereavement leave to manage scheduling and coverage.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and update electronic client files, complete paperwork accurately, and review and track timesheets, mileage, and other expense claims.
  • Team Support and Development: Determine and prioritize requests and mandatory training needs of employees and clients, schedule workshops or courses, and provide coverage for receptionist duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum two (2) years Disability studies and/or Project Management Diploma or equivalent education, with related experience dealing with family and community relationships.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrated values consistent with the DDRC mission, ability to work independently and as part of a multi-service team, professional/articulate communication, and ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
