About This Role

CAE Inc is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Solutions Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Proposals Team, you will be responsible for coordinating, executing, managing, and delivering winning proposals for our Civil Simulation Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and leverage CAE's discriminators to increase the probability of winning proposals.
  • Work closely with the sales team and business development team to develop and execute proposal strategies.
  • Review solicitation documents to understand customer requirements and translate them into winning themes.
  • Define proposal strategies to address customer needs in a cost-effective manner, leveraging CAE's core technologies and off-the-shelf products.
  • Lead proposal reviews and presentations to management.
  • Develop timely and quality proposals that meet customer requirements and promote reuse and consistency across bids.
  • Interface with sales, marketing, PM, and engineering functions during proposal preparation and validation.
  • Prepare cost basis of estimates and cost comparisons in support of cost analysis and justification.
  • Identify, quantify, and recommend mitigation plans for program risks.
  • Capture feedback from project execution teams to continuously improve proposals.
  • Collaborate with program management to prepare program schedules.
  • Validate workload distribution with colleagues and negotiate priorities with the sales team.
  • Occasionally interface with customers and present technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering (or equivalent) in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to challenge technical solutions, costs, and schedules to ensure optimal proposals.
  • Result-oriented, innovative, and creative.
  • Good organizational skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, customer-focused, with excellent decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of data and parts procurement processes.
  • People management and/or project management is an asset.
  • Interest in Simulation Product sales is an asset.
  • General knowledge of Civil products and services, hardware, and software production processes.
  • General knowledge of flight simulators.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
