Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PT Server to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to our guests in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This role requires someone who is able to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude even in challenging situations. You will be working as part of a team to deliver outstanding guest experiences and ensure that our restaurant runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests in a professional manner;
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available;
  • Restock, clean, and organize all related work equipment and areas;
  • Process all cash and credit card transactions accurately;
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of each shift;
  • Clear dishes, empty, and clean tables properly;
  • Ensure all tables and chairs are setup and organized in the section;
  • Assist other co-workers as needed;
  • Understand and follow opening and closing server duties;
  • Comply with all alcohol-related house policies, practices, and Smart Serve guidelines;
  • Monitor and communicate all beverage alcohol activities during breaks and shifts;
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of tables, refrigerators, side stands, and other equipment in the work area;
  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required;
  • Adhere to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental, and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role;
Education and Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
  • Minimum one year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment;
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate required;
  • Previous cash handling experience required;
  • Previous system experience an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, and communication skills;
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Able to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario;
Estimated Salary

$20-$25 per hour (dependent on experience)
