We are seeking an Insurance Business Development Professional to join our team at Unistar Insurance. This is a remote position that requires occasional travel throughout Alberta, mainly in Calgary and Edmonton.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business and retaining existing clients while providing professional standards and consistency of advice.
Responsibilities:- Develop a portfolio of business with a focus on profitable growth
- Contribute to business retention activities, including maintaining client relationships and providing professional advice
- Present recommendations and options to clients, reaching an agreement and receiving instructions on their implementation
- Gather underwriting information from clients and negotiate terms with underwriters
- Act on behalf of clients in the settlement of claims, ensuring timely and favorable settlements
- Insurance licensed and in good standing
- Minimum 3 years life insurance experience (commercial and personal lines experience also considered an asset)
- CAIB and industry-related designations are considered a strong asset

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus commission.
