Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Science Professional to join our team at Island Health. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant health science discipline and have a strong background in infection control processes and quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' recent related acute care clinical experience, including one year of demonstrated experience working directly with infection control processes, policies, and activities. They will also have a strong working knowledge of program development and implementation, as well as performance measures.

In addition, the candidate will hold a Certificate of successful completion from an IPAC Canada-endorsed infection control course or evidence of Certification in Infection Control (CIC). A valid Class 5 vehicle license is also required.
