About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Tang Maru Korean Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our diverse customer base.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including determining portion sizes and costs.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Operations and Management
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with our kitchen team to achieve our culinary goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment with high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Dependability and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Organized and able to work effectively in a team environment.
