Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at BC Housing. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports and analysis, sharing insights to support decision making, and providing support in quarterly and annual budget exercises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex financial models and reports to support budgeting and forecasting functions
  • Develop and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or a relevant field
  • Considerable work experience in a high-volume computerized financial accounting environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of financial, accounting, and reporting systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and understand mission-critical corporate enterprise applications and IT systems
