About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our Regulatory team in the management of regulatory processes related to the safe operations of our SeaRose FPSO production installation and Atlantic Region regulatory approval processes.

As a Regulatory Student, you will work closely with our Senior Regulatory Advisor to prepare for, facilitate, and distribute minutes of meetings for the Atlantic Region Regulatory Management Committee. You will also manage the regulatory compliance event registry, compile regulatory actions, and prepare quarterly operations updates to the C-NLOPB.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a driven and collaborative team, completing important projects while receiving mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for, facilitate, and distribute minutes of meetings for the Atlantic Region Regulatory Management Committee.
  • Manage the regulatory compliance event registry to provide reminders for regulatory submissions/action closure and distribute a monthly report on completed and forecasted activities.
  • Compile regulatory actions/comment received from C-NLOPB for tracking and record updates as required.
  • Prepare quarterly operations updates to the C-NLOPB based on inputs from operations teams.
  • Administer the database of regulatory exemptions.
  • Additional tasks required by the Business Services team, as directed.

Requirements:

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application.
  • Available to begin work in January 2025.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Products).
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, hard-working, team environment.
  • Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.
  • Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.
  • Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals.

Education:

  • Must be enrolled in a Business Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
