About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Landman to join our team at Grobes Media. As a key member of our Land Department, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing contract status and wells to determine if Harvest needs to consider declaring a partner as a Delinquent Party to update our land records.
  • Assist with testing of Land System upgrades.
  • Work with the Team Lead, Land to analyze and draft formal agreements in all areas of the company.
  • Update existing contracts and enter new contract data into CS Explorer to maintain the land records.
  • Identify and monitor contractual obligations such as rights of first refusal, independent operations notices, penalty & payout notices, abandonment notices, AFE's and Cash Calls.
  • Interpret contracts to confirm interests, operating procedure & accounting rates & elections, royalties, etc.
  • Review and comment on all third-party formal agreements into which Harvest may enter.
  • Conduct a title review of contract files to determine or confirm royalty interests or working interests for Acurna Execute.
  • Review and identify curative actions required to remedy contract and mineral lease deficiencies.
  • Prepare and distribute Harvest-generated documents and review and process third-party A&N's, NOA's, Assignments, Change of Operator/Challenge of Operator.
  • Process and complete well status sheets ensuring well data and linking is correct in CS.
  • Work closely with Land Staff and Legal Department on critical matters relating to contracts and mineral leases.
  • Research internal and third-party queries relating to contracts.
  • Have a good working knowledge of government regulations.
  • Participate in creation and review of precedent documents and procedures.
  • Provide representation on industry committees and/or internal projects as desired or required.

Qualifications:

  • Petroleum Land Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant land experience with at least 5 years of contract administration and/or negotiation.
