Director, Investment Structure Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Structure Management Professional to join our team at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. As a key member of our Investment Structure Management team, you will be responsible for the operational deal structuring and end-to-end management of the investment life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Deal Structuring and Management: Assist with various projects/initiatives, provide investment structuring support, and assist in setting up and managing CPP Investments group companies used for making investments.
- Operational Risk Management: Manage the operating risks of CPP Investments' group entities working with other partners in Legal and Finance.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team who will provide additional day-to-day support in delivering investment structuring and ongoing management of investment structures.
- Culture of Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation around how CPP Investments manages its investment structures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other internal CPP Investments partners to work on cross-functional workstreams and initiatives.
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience in finance, consulting, private equity, accounting firm, project management, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high levels of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to identify issues and determine course of action in situations with little or no precedent.
- Continuous learning mindset with a desire to learn about CPP Investments business and recommend innovative solutions to business problems.
- Willingness to actively contribute to a positive, highly effective, and collaborative team culture.
- Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, CBV.
- Mergers & Acquisitions operational experience.
- Experience working with low code / no code workflow tools (e.g. Mendix) and using tools like Tableau or MSCoPilot.
