Restaurant Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Paramjit's Kitchen. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality and customer service.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared to a high standard and served promptly.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records and ordering systems.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules, improving efficiency and productivity in the kitchen.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring that we have adequate stock levels to meet demand.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and taking corrective action as needed.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates, analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement.
- Address customer complaints and concerns, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, using this data to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, providing insights into restaurant performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under pressure, remaining calm and composed in busy and stressful situations.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical activity, with the need to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking are also required, with a physically demanding workload.
- Attention to detail is essential, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Personal Suitability:
- Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.
Experience: 1-2 years (less than 2 years)
