Strategic Sustainability Reporting Risk Director

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Sustainability Reporting Risk to lead the development of our Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR) program. This new role will be responsible for designing and implementing internal controls to mitigate risks associated with sustainability reporting.
You will work closely with our Director, Sustainability and Financial Reporting Policy to develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB) sustainability disclosure standards.
This is a key role within our central Finance, Governance, and Tax Department, where you will collaborate with various divisions to identify and mitigate sustainability reporting risks. You will provide direct support to the Director and be a key member of our team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain the ICSR program across HOOPP.
- Evaluate and recommend controls to mitigate sustainability reporting risks.
- Collaborate with all HOOPP divisions to develop an in-depth understanding of key business processes and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Provide expert advice on sustainability reporting controls to stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in finance initiatives to design internal controls over sustainability reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or investment industries with experience designing and leading internal controls programs.
- Chartered Accountant designation along with a post-secondary degree.
- Certification in sustainability reporting such as the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential considered an asset.
