Job Title: Safety Officer Lead

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Safety Officer Lead to oversee safety protocols at our site in Vancouver, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting walk-throughs of the shop and site, collaborating with the General Contractor's safety team, attending safety meetings, developing and implementing new safety plans and procedures, leading toolbox meetings, and motivating the team.

About the Role
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of the shop and site to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with the General Contractor's safety team to develop and implement effective safety strategies.
  • Develop and maintain incident plans, including reporting and documentation.
  • Perform job hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement controls.
  • Conduct orientations for new employees and verify valid tickets.
Requirements
  • OFA Level 2 certification is required.
  • CSO certification and experience running toolbox meetings are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a CSO on commercial or institutional projects is required.

Pay and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
