The position of Plant Manager at Donald's Fine Foods requires exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on developing and adhering to defined processes that maximize stewardship, team development, safety, quality, yields, and productivity. The incumbent will oversee all daily production operations, ensuring compliance with guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Key objectives include ensuring the safety of all personnel, maintaining quality control and food safety program compliance, achieving operational targets, yield management without compromising quality, costs KPIs, fill rates, and managing Collective Bargaining Agreement. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performance management of all production employees and lead by instilling team goals and objectives.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead in a manner that exemplifies honesty, integrity, quality, and trust
  • Provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives
  • Oversee production supervisors to ensure they meet their operational goals
  • Maintain positive employee relations and promote a team atmosphere
  • Guide team towards achieving zero lost time and medical aid incidents

Production Planning:

  • Plan manpower weekly requirements to meet customer demands
  • Maintain overall production plan to meet customer demands and reduce unnecessary changeovers
  • Liaise with human resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Liaise between sales and production staff to ensure sales requirements are met

Customer Requirements:

  • Provide necessary feedback to production team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and update product specifications in conjunction with sales and customer requests
  • Participate in product development and innovation
  • Integrate third-party volume into facility

Operational Results:

  • Manage labour cost to budget targets
  • Manage product yields without compromising quality
  • Lead team and develop a succession plan for operations
  • Foster achievement of Company objectives in terms of product quality, efficiency targets, and customer service

Compliance:

  • Enforce HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Provide a safe working environment for all employees and contractors
  • Comply with all WorkSafeBC and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies

With a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, plus benefits including extended health and dental plans, MSP, long-term savings plan, and an employee meat purchase program, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Production Manager to join our team.
