About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Project Manager to join our team at DOWCO. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing projects from start to finish, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality steel fabrication services on time and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 6 years or more steel detailing experience and 2 years or more in a project management or coordination role. If you have a strong background in structural steel and experience working with Tekla Structures and FabTrol, we would like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work effectively in a busy production environment. You will be responsible for scheduling staff, managing budgets, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and managing staff to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Managing budgets and tracking expenses to meet financial targets
  • Overseeing the quality control process to ensure accurate and complete steel fabrication drawings
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in steel detailing and 2+ years in project management or coordination
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel and relevant software (Tekla Structures and FabTrol)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
