About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at NEWTON SWEETSHOP & RESTAURANT LTD. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our discerning customers.
  • Chef Supervision: Lead and manage a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations and high-quality food production.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards and maintain the highest level of food quality.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and coaching to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers by ensuring exceptional service, quality food, and a welcoming dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a focus on West Indian cuisine
