Job Summary

This exciting role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team of Operations Incident Responders, working closely with senior leadership to provide technical expertise and support in coordinating incident response efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate incident response efforts, providing continuous updates to senior leadership on the situation.
  • Contain and remediate incidents, utilizing technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Facilitate incident response reports, outlining incident details, timelines, actions taken, and lessons learned.
  • Manage Technology Application Support staff, ensuring seamless support for clients across multiple RBC LOB and external vendors.
  • Deliver ongoing performance management and coaching feedback to direct reports.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate handling of client and user requests, assisting with Senior Management escalation as needed.
  • Participate in projects as a lead for the Application Support team, coordinating change management and monitoring implementation of infrastructure and application fixes and vendor system upgrades.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in business application support roles within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with support for Operating Systems: 80% Windows; 20% Linux.
  • SQL Server database and SQL queries and tuning expertise.
  • Scheduling tools (Autosys/Stonebranch/Airflow) experience.
  • Production trouble shooting skills and ITSM knowledge.
  • Interacting with ServiceNow on incidents, problems, service requests, change deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of production controls and access management.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise job schedulers.
  • DevOps process and deployments using UCD.
  • Flexibility for shift work.
  • 24X7 production support.
