About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Consultant to join our team at Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. as a Distributor Sales Representative for the Kitchener region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing our business in the Ontario territory by developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory to drive sales growth and expand our customer base.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, including the identification of key accounts and the development of tailored sales plans.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, including product knowledge, demonstrations, and training.
  • Collaborate with our vendor partners to ensure alignment on sales goals and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform sales strategies and recommendations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and sales performance.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and other company events to stay informed and engaged.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with a focus on consultative selling.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel locally within the territory, with occasional overnight travel and weekend work required.
Working Conditions

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles. The position requires sitting, driving, standing and walking, bending and twisting, climbing and balancing, stooping and kneeling, squatting, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
