About the Role

Manulife Financial Corporation is seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Management Governance Lead to join its Global Technology Services Management and Support Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for governing the global IT asset management process and leading a team of hardware and software asset management professionals.

This role is crucial to Manulife's digital transformation, including retooling and evolving processes for efficiency. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable record of technical and enterprise-scale ITAM hardware and software leadership, and success in leading teams through transformational change.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration to support business segment needs for technical support, asset cycle, and upgrade protection on applicable products.

* Identify and gather cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities for renewals, upgrades, software licensing, and services to optimize resource allocation and maximize ROI.

* Maintain data completeness and quality standards in the CMDB to ensure accurate discovery and population of asset details.

* Develop, document, implement, and maintain governance processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

* Build relationships across the organization with Finance, Sourcing, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Technology Governance, and other partners to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

* 10+ years' experience managing IT assets in a complex, regulated, enterprise-scale environment.

* IT Asset Manager certification (CHAMP) and/or (CITAM) preferred.

* Extensive knowledge of software licensing, contracts, audit, and managing software entitlements to establish a compliance position.

* Experience with Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Red Hat and other major vendors' licensing rules and formats.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to create and effectively communicate a strategy for various stakeholders.
