Court Technology Services (CTS) is a team within the Government of Alberta responsible for providing and supporting technology tools to power the court and justice system throughout Alberta.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $83,506 - $110,607 per year, based on 36.25 hours worked per week. The Government of Alberta offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension plan, health and dental insurance, and paid time off.

Job Description

This permanent full-time position is located in Edmonton and requires a System Analyst 3 with expertise in Audio Visual and Information Technology architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience as a technical leader on development teams and possess thorough knowledge of computer science concepts and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing technical aspects of initiatives, projects, and enhancements to ensure alignment of Audio Visual and Information Technology architecture within domains and across the enterprise.
  • Performing early analysis of requirements, opportunities, and challenges within the context of AV/IT architecture, thereby lowering initiative, project, and enhancement risk.
  • Facilitating communication with business areas, Court Technology Service (CTS) operations, partner organizations, and vendors to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

University graduation in computer science or a related discipline plus at least four years of related experience (e.g., Network Architect, Technology Architect, Cloud Architect) is required. A related two-year diploma in audio visual, computer technology, or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and six years of related experience may be considered equivalent. Assets considered include working experience with Audio Visual Network systems and design, Information Technology systems, architecture, and design, Cyber Security architecture, and certifications for Audio Engineer, Technology Specialist – Design, Audiovisual Network Professional, IT Architecture, Cyber Security Architecture, Cloud Architecture.

Able to work well in a team environment, take direction, mentor junior employees, and work within deadline constraints are essential skills for this role.
