Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional to execute wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water sampling projects by performing assessments, collaborating on treatment system design and permitting, coordinating sample collection, data reduction, and preparing results tables and reports.

A Day in the Life

  • Support the Water and Wastewater Services Team with various water-related projects, including maintaining sample bottle inventory and sampling equipment, coordinating sampling events, developing and executing sampling plans, and coordinating with external labs.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of drinking water and wastewater treatment system improvement and permitting from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.
  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections to assess site conditions, system performance, and regulatory compliance, and assist in formulating appropriate solutions and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in infrastructure design.
  • Prepare proposal documents and assist with project budget management and invoicing under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Represent Pinchin through professional conduct and adhere to quality control and health and safety protocols.

What You Bring

  • A college diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, environmental, natural, or chemical sciences is required.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in an industrial or consulting setting is preferred.
  • Eligibility for future licensure with a professional organization such as PEO, OACETT, or ECO Canada is desired.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are necessary.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment when needed and lift up to 20kg.
  • Current and valid driver's license with sufficient insurance and access to a vehicle is required for work-related travel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and read, comprehend, and proof written reports and correspondence.

Compensation and Benefits

Pinchin offers competitive salaries ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including paid vacation, reimbursement for association membership dues, wellness spending account, and social activities.
