Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Manager to join our team at Canada Life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive management of assigned disability claims, including evaluating medical information and job duties, developing case management and return to employment plans during periods of disability.

As a key member of our client service team, you will deliver timely, professional, and responsive service to our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage assigned disability claims, including evaluating medical information and job duties.
  • Develop case management and return to employment plans during periods of disability.
  • Deliver timely, professional, and responsive service to clients and their employees.
  • Conduct medical investigations, evaluate health care coordination programs, and implement return-to-work programs.
  • Adhere to service level agreements associated with policy holder claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as Kinesiology, Disability Management, Physiotherapy, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Experience in disability insurance, life and health insurance, or human resources is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent listening skills, and strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service focus are essential.
