About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist with the museum's summer children's program. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in cultural heritage and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement the museum's summer children's program.
  • Recruit and train youth volunteers to assist with the program.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, support special events, outreach activities, tours, exhibitions, and collections management.
Requirements
  • A college or university student enrolled in a visual arts/education program, history, library science, or other related programs with relevant work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with the public.
  • Proficiency in computer and general office skills; knowledge of MS Office, Past Perfect, and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Experience working with children and youth, with excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated research skills would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and First Aid Certification.
Employment Details
  • Estimated salary: $18.06 per hour.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
