Banquet Manager Job Description

Apollo Convention Centre Inc is seeking a skilled Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of events at our convention centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event operations and be able to implement operational procedures to ensure seamless events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine Event Concept and Operational Procedures: Work with clients to determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure successful events.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary supplies are available for events.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Clients and Marketing: Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities and participate in marketing plans to promote events.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients and attendees, addressing any complaints or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficient and effective event execution.

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in event operations or a related field.

Work Details:

  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
