Event Operations Manager

Banquet Manager Job Description
Apollo Convention Centre Inc is seeking a skilled Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of events at our convention centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event operations and be able to implement operational procedures to ensure seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine Event Services: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure high-quality event execution.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the effectiveness of event operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are available for events.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe and healthy environment for event attendees.
- Clients and Marketing: Negotiate with clients to provide catering or use of facilities, and participate in marketing plans to promote events.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and respond to any complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that events are executed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in event operations or a related field.
Work Environment:
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
