We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a Bakery Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with daily bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering customer inquiries, resolving issues, and making recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and keeping the bakery area clean.
  • Assist with daily bakery operations, including bagging, boxing, and pricing baked goods.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or bakery environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
