About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bakery Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting our bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking bakery products, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Support the bakery team with tasks such as bagging, boxing, and labeling products, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and inviting shopping environment.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
