Bakery Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking bakery products, including bagging, boxing, and labeling items.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery and stockroom areas.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving inventory, including checking for damage and quality control.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and display of products to create an attractive store environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
