Job Summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced AI Director to lead our research and development operations. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for determining the strategic direction and establishing objectives for our AI research and product development operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a technical roadmap and strategy for AI product development and lifecycle implementation.
  • Oversee engineering research projects on the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Lead, develop, and control AI product development and production schedules.
  • Provide direction, leadership, and guidance to the AI product development team.
  • Manage the recruitment and training of AI product development personnel.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior management role within the AI industry.
  • 5+ years of Machine Learning research, software design, and development experience.
  • Advanced AI and Machine Learning experience with a wide range of AI techniques.
  • Strong command of NLP techniques, including language representation models.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard Large Language Models and architectures.
