Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our AI and Society research program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of researchers and coordinating the development of research initiatives that explore the intersection of AI and society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of researchers and coordinate the development of research initiatives
  • Develop and implement research strategies that align with CIFAR's goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with researchers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance the field of AI and society
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to researchers and teams
  • Ensure the effective management of research programs and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, sociology, philosophy)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in research management or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading research teams and developing research initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
