Job Summary

As a Senior AI Research Director at Cohere, you will lead our AI research and product development operations, driving the strategic direction and objectives for our company's AI initiatives. You will work closely with our executive team and partners to prioritize investments and oversee the development of AI products that incorporate Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a technical roadmap and strategy for AI product development and lifecycle implementation.
  • Oversee engineering research projects on the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Lead the analysis of product data to understand usage and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide direction, leadership, and guidance to the AI product development team.
  • Manage the recruitment and training of AI product development personnel.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior management role within the AI industry.
  • 5+ years of Machine Learning research, software design, and development experience.
  • Advanced AI and Machine Learning experience with a wide range of AI techniques.
  • Strong command of NLP techniques and industry-standard Large Language Models.
