About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Song Residence. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Support clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain their physical and mental well-being.
  • Mend clothing and linens, ensuring clients have clean and comfortable living conditions.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Will train, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge in home support and care.
  • CPR Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate are assets.
Work Setting

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in the clients' homes, providing one-on-one care and support. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
