About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team in Victoria, BC. This is a casual position, with hours of work determined by operational requirements.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform clinical, education, community development and research activities in oncology nutrition. They will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing patient-centred care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized care plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide coordinated care
  • Design and implement therapeutic diets, as required
  • Document patient information and care plans accurately
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in oncology nutrition
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition or equivalent experience
  • One year of experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in oncology
  • Licensure with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
