The Clinical Dietitian performs clinical, education, community development, and research activities in keeping with the evidence-based practice of oncology nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out comprehensive nutrition assessments, identifying appropriate nutrition diagnoses, and developing patient-centered nutrition intervention.
- Utilizing clinical tools to assess and implement nutrition care plans.
- Designing, compounding, and monitoring therapeutic diets for patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition.
- Providing education to patients and healthcare teams on nutrition care.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition or equivalent.
- One year of experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in oncology.
- Licensed with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in an interprofessional team.
