Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Specialist to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Radiological Technologist with a strong background in computed tomography (CT) imaging. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care, from initial consultation to post-procedure follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain equipment performance and patient safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations and treatments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Radiological Technology or a related field.
  • Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in CT imaging, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Hours

This position is located at BC Children's Hospital, 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC. The regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as required.
