Radiological Technologist 3, Computed Tomography Specialist

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist 3 to join the Computed Tomography team at Vancouver General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform special procedure examinations in CT, adhering to departmental policies and procedures while ensuring safe radiation protection practices.
- Receive and complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the radiology information system, and prepare examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, process and archive acquired data, monitor patients during procedures, and maintain equipment performance.
- Supervise at least one Radiological Technologist or a total staff of up to four FTE, and may be responsible for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year of recent, related experience, including supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Completion of an Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
