Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist 3 to join their team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography examinations in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, ensuring safe radiation protection practices.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, process and archive acquired data, and monitor equipment performance.
- Supervise and train junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Develop and implement procedure protocols and manuals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff, providing exceptional patient care and service.
Requirements
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year of recent, related experience, including supervisory experience.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current General Radiography and CT theory and practices within a client-centered model of care.
