About the Role

Cuso International is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Development Specialist to join our team in Suriname. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the capacity of National Conservation Trust Funds (NCTFs) across the region to develop and implement a strategic plan and revamp their internal structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of strategic directions and priorities through a process of research and consultation with staff and members
  • Complete organizational assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify key stakeholders for consultation on strategic plans
  • Establish work plans for strategic planning processes

Requirements

  • University degree in social sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, law, public policy, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a position related to the promotion of gender equality, diversity, and/or women's development issues
  • Experience working with government agencies and senior management
  • Experience in training and facilitation
