About the Role

The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a central role in developing and implementing strategic communications plans that drive business results and enhance our reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with business objectives and engage our target audience.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide strategic communications advice and support.
  • Design and deliver high-quality communications products, including content, campaigns, and events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, media, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in strategic communications, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communications plans.
  • Deep knowledge of the latest communications tools and trends, including digital channels and analytics.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Canada's financial industry and the Bank of Canada's mandate and functions.
  • Experience in digital content development and marketing, including web content, videos, email, and social media.
  • Project and event management experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and on budget.
