Job Title: Deputy Director of Strategic Operations

Employment and Social Development Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Strategic Operations to join our team. As a senior executive, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to senior officials and teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain partnerships
  • Manage and oversee the development of policies and programs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Requirements:
  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior officials
  • Experience in setting strategic direction and providing leadership in operational service delivery
  • Experience in building and managing partnerships and consulting with other levels of government, industry, and national or international organizations
  • Experience in managing human and financial resources
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the banking industry or in a regulatory environment
  • Experience in risk management, finance, or in a regulatory environment
  • Experience in working with various internal and external stakeholders, including security and intelligence agencies
  • Experience in leading the development and analysis of complex cross-cutting social, economic, or security policies and programs
  • Experience in leading analysis and developing responses to complex policy or risk issues related to a regulated sector
