SalaryThe expected base salary range for this position is $123,000 - $150,000 per year.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Power Generation Manager to join our team in Armstrong, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our fire systems, process safety equipment, and steam and power generation assets.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performance team dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. As a Power Generation Manager, you will be accountable for the organization and supervision of plant production activities, while leading, documenting, reporting and troubleshooting operational events throughout a 24-hour operating schedule.
You will also ensure established daily production levels are achieved within safety, budget and quality goals. Additionally, you will maintain records associated with compliance with environmental, WorksafeBC, TSBC and insurance standards.
Your leadership skills will be used to hire, train, develop and manage employees to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 2nd Class Power Engineer Certification.
- A proven track record, leading a team of Power Engineers or other skilled tradespeople.
- Extensive experience working with steam and power combustion generation.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Excellent communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel codes and regulations.
- Previous experience with solid fuel combustion is considered an asset.
